Dubi Signs

After an eight day holdout which threatened to turn contentious, Brandon Dubinsky has agreed to a 2 year 3.7 million dollar contract with the Blueshirts. Sitting out the start of the first camp under coach John Tortorella was a huge risk for the young center but in the end the Rangers and GM Glen Sather finally met his asking price (a day after fellow young center Phil Kessel was moved to Toronto by the Bruins for a package of two first rounders and a second round pick) and locked up one of their core building blocks. Dubinsky is expected to skate today at the team’s practice facility and meet up with his teammates once they return from today’s preseason tilt in Beantown.
