The Rangers have called up forward P.A. Parenteau from Hartford. Parenteau, 26, has eight goals and six assists in nine games for the Wolf Pack this season. He currently leads the AHL in goals and is tied for the league lead in points. He is also tied for first in the league in power play goals (five) and fourth in power play assists (four).
This move was precautionary in the event that Marian Gaborik can’t go tomorrow night vs. the Islanders.
