Here We Go Again: 2010 NHL Predictions

After another long summer of player movement and excitement about all the young talent the NHL is being infused with this year, it’s finally time to drop the puck on another season of the “Greatest Show on Ice”. Last year at this time, I wrote about how I thought the combatants in the Stanley Cup Finals would be the Rangers and Red Wings, so obviously I don’t own a crystal ball or have Miss Cleo’s home number, but I’m ready to shake off that colossal failure and give it another go. Here is my best guess on how things will shake out this season:

Eastern Conference Western Conference
1) Washington Capitals 1) San Jose Sharks
2) Pittsburgh Penguins 2) Detroit Red Wings
3) Buffalo Sabres 3) Vancouver Canucks
4) Carolina Hurricanes 4) Los Angeles Kings
5) New Jersey Devils 5) Chicago Blackhawks
6) Philadelphia Flyers 6) Colorado Avalanche
7) Boston Bruins 7) Phoenix Coyotes
8) New York Rangers 8) Anaheim Ducks
9) Montreal Canadiens 9) Calgary Flames
10) Tampa Bay Lightning 10) Nashville Predators
11) Ottawa Senators 11) St. Louis Blues
12) Atlanta Thrashers 12) Edmonton Oilers
13) Toronto Maple Leafs 13) Dallas Stars
14) New York Islanders 14) Columbus Blue Jackets
15) Florida Panthers 15) Minnesota Wild
